The Hospitality in the Trinitarian Fathers’
Guest Houses
The sociability of person leads everyone to travel, for need and for desire, and receive hospitality is his "necessity".
It is by virtue of their charisma which the Trinitarians are committed, among other things, the duty to offer hospitality. In their Guest Houses, they want to honour this commitment.
The Trinitarian Fathers are a Christian religious order founded in 1198, between the third and fourth Crusade, as a practical alternative than the military vision of time, which formed the plant for the Christian Crusades and the Islamic jihad.
The founder, John De Matha, left to his religious a Rule of Life, designed and written with the express purpose of creating a humanitarian project of Christian solidarity. This project was divided into two areas of practical charity: free the prisoners of the "holy wars" and offer hospitality to the "poor", i.e. those who were in need of being provided. The entire Rule reveals how the Trinitarian constant travelling he did experience the discomfort and danger of the trips; so that was particularly sensitive to offer and receive hospitality.
The host, according to the charisma of the Trinitarian Fathers, was and is the main subject of the House of Hospitality. He is informed, as soon as you open the door that he is called, somehow, to "be part of the House" with experience of mutual influence between guest and is housed. He is therefore to be, even if for a short or very short period of time, the protagonist, in a sober and familiar atmosphere. It is the responsibility of the host not to make guests feel alien to the House.
ADDRESS OF JOHN PAUL II (Sunday, 26 January 1992)

“This parish is the closest to those of all of Rome to St. Peter. From my window I see this church, its facade, which closely accompanies all my days. Certainly I see the church building, but I also see the community led by Trinity Church, an ancient order founded on the Trinitarian mystery”.

The images and the type of communication is the optimum means to create and offer a family environment. The word "house", in itself, implies the idea of a pleasant and quiet pleasure of enjoying it together. The guest must be "reassured", put in the freedom to move and act. That is why the willingness to dialogue, becomes the basis of the concept of hospitality. I1 visual aid that presents the message with appropriate iconography of the Order of the Trinity, in houses of hospitality and this will be grounds for appeal, which aims on the one hand to satisfy the legitimate curiosity, the other to "submit" Trinitarians and their specific service hospitality.
In addition to the simple dialogue and the visual message, will be held in high regard by dell'addetto reception, a spontaneous language full act to promote a systematic attitude of dialogue with the host. The houses of hospitality Trinitarian act in the context of messages sent and received via both verbal and nonverbal communications. The offer of a family once again notes the four areas of interaction: intimate, personal, social and public life.
The furniture becomes supplied through images, introduction to the iconography of mutual understanding and facilitate the coexistence within the host homes, images and iconography facilitate verbal communication through the permanent readiness to listen and by offering meetings on the hospitality according to the charism of the Order of the Trinity. In order appropriate steps are activated and the guest is informed of them in a systematic or occasional basis as appropriate.
The host will return to its natural place, having had the experience of "being at home away from home." It will bring back the pleasure of the interchange of messages and the joy of a host family. It will bring back the desire to repeat the experience.
